Mission Statement

‘Sahara Kenya Project’ believes that it is simply a human right to have basic essentials such as clean water, shelter and food. The project was set up after a trip to Kenya where a retired couple were shocked at the appalling conditions homeless people now lived in. ‘Sahara Kenya Project’ operates from the UK. It is a non-political and a non-religious organization, and the charity receives no government funding. The charity organises events to raise funds which then help with the following activities:
  • Providing shelter and housing to the elderly, poor and homeless people in Kenya
  • Giving those people access to clean and safe drinking water
  • Giving food to people in poverty – young or old – those who lack even the most basic essentials to sustain life
The long term plan is to work with the communities in Kenya to break the cycle of poverty through Education.
